The Ampal Creative has been making hats in Los Angeles since 2007 — every one of them Made in USA since 2010. Small runs cut from premium and often one-off deadstock fabrics, finished with the details that separate a good cap from a cheap one: satin linings, herringbone underbrims and a proper chino twill sweatband. When the roll runs out, that hat is gone.
A few years ago we did the Tiger hat as part of a collection with my brother (Nick Potash Custom Jewelry & Engraving). The patch was based off a Vietnam era Souvenir Jacket from his collection.
Due to popular demand we brought it back, this time in a durable poly upper and snapback closure with a green satin underbrim.
