Modelled after the Saint Christopher medallions worn by surfers in the 1960s as tokens of protection on the water. Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travellers and safe passage, is cast in relief at the centre of a large round enamel medallion, with "St. Christopher Protect Us" engraved around the frame. A smaller Polaris star coin pendant hangs alongside it from the same bail, a nod to guidance and direction.
